a life worth living if you came along

the sun would rise behind the trees
each day i ran to keep you company, i see how
things change in such short time
i realize it's passed me by
a moment that changed everything

i wonder how this all will play out
the writings on the wall
the clock hits 1, yet i still pace around
with heavy hands and tired lungs
